Client File Status
The client file status allows you to stay informed about which processing stage a client file is currently at, from rolling forward to printing the client file.
The client file status can be manually or automatically assigned as a result of certain operations. For example, you can set the program to automatically update the client file status after printing the client file.
The client file status has no effect on the file’s operation and does not limit it. For example, a client file with the status "Printed" can be reprinted at any time.
The client file status can have a or a customized value. Here is a table that shows the different predefined values:

The client file has been rolled forward. The program automatically assigns this value when a client file is rolled forward. |
Not prepared |
The client file is ready to receive the client's information regarding the current fiscal year. |
Documents received |
The documents required to prepare the client file have been received. |
Scanned |
The documents required to prepare the client file have been scanned and attached to the client file. |
In progress |
The client file is currently being processed. The program automatically assigns this value to the client file status when a new client file is created or a rolled forward client file is modified. |
Pending |
Processing the client file is temporarily suspended until missing information is provided. |
To review |
The client file is ready to be checked by the reviewer. |
In review |
The client file is currently being reviewed. |
Reviewed |
The reviewer has completed the review; certain errors may need to be corrected or the client file may be ready to print. |
Ready to print |
The client file is ready to print. |
Printed |
The client file has been printed. |
Collated |
The forms and documents required for the client file have been collated and the client file is ready to be authorized by the client. |
Sent to client |
The client file has been delivered to the client to be authorized. |
Authorized by client |
The client gave the authorization to send the client file to the tax authorities. |
Completed |
The client file has been sent to both the client and the tax authorities. |
Billed |
The bill for filing the client file has been done. |
Amended |
The client file has been corrected and filed again after having been received a first time by the tax authorities. |
